Introduced by a civil or structural engineer this event gives an insight into the role of engineers in society, the role of a civil engineer plus information about different types of bridges and their associated forces.

The aim of the event is to give pupils an insight into the world of work and put into practice skills used within the workplace; i.e. team work, communication, problem solving, time management.

Location: School Hall.  This event can be hosted by a school as an interschool challenge or as a whole year group challenge.  It is suitable for all abilities.

Number of pupils: Up to 15 teams of 6 (dependent on hall size and availability of tables & chairs)

Target Age Group: Year 6 or Year 5 spring and summer term.
