![]() ![]() Teams of between six and eight pupils are challenged to develop, cost, advertise and present a soap of their own design. The winning teams have there recipes made up and sent to the school. Each team is provided with a project pack that guides them through the stages of designing the soap. The design process is split into eight areas including the six types of ingredients, marketing and costing. Choosing the essential, base and additional oils and then botanicals, textures and colours takes up the bulk of the day as the teams construct their own unique soap that they brand and market to business professionals at the end of the day.
Aims of the project:
Business Support: This enterprise activity is run by the soap company Coco Mango and is supported by a number of local businesses including banks and building societies, toy manufacturers, marketing companies and education providers. These businesses bring real world examples to life. Duration: This activity is designed for a maximum of 200 pupils per day. However, the programme can be adapted for larger or smaller groups.
